Indian Ambassador’s Annual Golf Cup Tournament 2009 was held on 7^th November at the Gokarna Golf Resort where more than 70 Golfers played to win the coveted title. Several Ambassadors, Diplomats, High ranking Nepalese Army Officers and other keen Golfers took part in the competition. The tournament was played under the ¾ Stable Ford Pattern with a maximum permissible handicap of 18. The winner (gross score) was Mr. Tashi Tshering; winner (net score) was Major N K Rai; winner (veteran) was Lt Gen (retd) KNS Thapa; winner (ladies) was Mrs. Song; and Ambassador of Germany HE Verena Graffin Van Roedern was adjudged the the best golfer. Ambassador gave away the prizes to the winners. This is one of the most prestigious tournaments of its kind held in Kathmandu every year. The history of the tournament dates back to the year 1975.
